From Johnny McCoy:
As most of you know, Kim Watson is a long time SETRA competitor and member of the Greenville Enduro Riders club. Not only is Kim a member of the SETRA family, his stepson, Heath Lee, is also a long time SETRA competitor (and a pretty fast one, at that). Kim was injured while practicing in early December and immediately lost all movement from his neck down. The accident required that he had his C4/C5 fused for the second time. Once the surgery was completed and the swelling subsided, Kim began to have feeling and movement in all of his extremities, but the road to recovery has been, and is expected to continue being, a long and tough battle. Kim and his wife Kimberly, have maintained a positive attitude, and a will to fight for Kim to regain the abilities that many of us take for granted. He has been encouraged by the visits, phone calls and notes from his motorcycle riding friends, which makes him more determined to work harder at his rehabilitation than most people will ever have to relate to.
As we all know, healthcare expenses, even with insurance, can be devastating these days. Kim, nor Kimberly, have EVER mentioned finances to me, but I have no doubt the financial strain this has created for them is something we can all relate to.
The SERMA club will be holding a benefit raffle for Kim Watson, with the drawing to be held at the rider’s meeting of Round 1 of the National Enduro Series in Sumter.
Here is a link that will take you directly to a printable flyer, http://www.sermaclub.com/KimWFlyer.pdf You can share the link and anyone can print or read what is up for grabs.
You can also donate online via PayPal by heading over to http://www.sermaclub.com and scrolling down to the “Donate” button.
Ashley Brewer will be hosting an outlaw race at Battery Park on January 10th, 2015.
This is NOT a SETRA points paying event.
Races will be as follows:
Peewee – 11:00am
Jr XC classes – 12:00pm
Adults – 2:00pm
Adult race will be 45 min with the following class options – A, B, C, and 40+
This is a “just for fun” event to give the kids the chance to do some extra racing, and the adults to have some fun as well. Come on out and have some fun!

All HRD results and points have been posted. Work points will be added tonight.
Some misinformation was being passed around last night so I have called HRD and cleared up the misunderstandings.
1)There IS a 10$ gate fee Saturday. HRD is holding a mud bug event and charging 10$ to get in for the event.
2)If you would like to ride the MX tracks Saturday, you will pay a 10$ gate fee and an additional 10$ to ride the tracks.
3)If you arrive AFTER 5pm you will still pay a 10$ gate fee, but it will apply to Sunday. Please do not be discouraged from coming early and camping. Just arrive after 5pm. There is no “double gate fee” unless you arrive before 5 while the mud bog event is still happening.
4)You WILL be allowed to WALK the trail before the race. There, as always, will be no pre-riding. But walking it is okay.
Hopefully this clears up any confusion or frustration. See everyone Sunday for some great racing!
There were 2 Pee Wee class riders who did not receive awards at the Little Brown Jug Hare Scramble. The parents of these riders need to contact the Greenville Enduro Riders at email@example.com to claim their awards, or you can submit a contact form on this website and we’ll put you in touch with them. The riders missing awards were Andrew Segars and Elijah Jennings.
